I'm frozen... I always thought it was difficult for people in a particular condition to understand what's happening to them. Sometimes I read the magazine "L'internazionale" to know the international point of view about Italy but last time I did it was before Chistmas. This article helped me to understand it's not a problem of mine that I feel unable to do and decide about the future, it's our sombre condition...it's worst of what I thought! Will we find a solution? I agree with Grillo: we need an invasion from another country!!
The article is surprising because it clearly summarizes what is happening in Italy right now. The situation is worrying: the garbage issue, a decrease in country's exports and a widespread political corruption are a negative sign inside a nation that needs to be reformed and reorganized. However, we think our country has the potential to improve itself. Groppo, Miazzi, Moretto
We recognize that Italy is in the doldrums. Bureaucracy is slow and it brakes Italian enterprises and therefore, our economy. Our businessmen are afraid to invest in innovations. Our political system is old, because of both politicians and ideas. Another old system, the Catholic Church, which has a big power in Italy, contributes to this backwardness. In any country, the politicians who have been convicted are removed from the political scene. However, in Italy, almost 25% of the parliamentarians have had legal problems and they continue to stay in the Parliament. Italians tend to separate their private life (family, work, friends, school) from the social and public life, and this is bad for Italian political life because we hang on the side of our life which goes better and tend to forget the worse part. Italy is famous for its creativity, art and landscapes. We should invest on these and, for example, improve public services and tertiary of our beautiful cities and resorts. Elena, Lisa, Laura.
